Research relating to respiratory medicine is ongoing, both at the BCCH site and in Vancouver, within the University. There is collaboration with St. Paul's Hospital Adult Pulmonary Division, a national centre for excellence. The physicians involved in the respiratory service have a major interest in acute respirology and pulmonary mechanics.
