Division of Gastroenterology
The Division of Gastroenterology entered the new millennium with a fresh vision for its future and major recruitment initiatives underway. Thanks to the dedicated work of the Children with Intestinal and Liver Disorders (CH.I.L.D.) Foundation and its fundraising efforts in recent years, the Division is realising its goal of developing an outstanding program in basic science research in pediatric gastroenterology. This will complement the existing strengths in clinical care and education.
Dr. Collin Barker joined the Division during the 2002/03 academic year. He brings a particular clinical research interest in the gastrointestinal aspects of hematological and oncological conditions, particularly chemotherapy and bone marrow transplantation.
