Welcome to the Department of Pediatrics
The Department of Pediatrics of the University of British Columbia and British Columbia's Children's Hospital consists of physicians, scientists, allied health professionals and administrative staff trained in pediatric and allied child health disciplines. The department members include full-time, part-time and community physicians. The mandate of the Department is to provide leadership and excellence in the following: Patient care, Education, Research and child advocacy.
The Department of Pediatrics is a cohesive academic, professional body committed to the advancement of betterment of child health care through the delivery of exemplary patient care, teaching, and research. We recognize the need to play an active role in the Faculty of Medicine and associated hospitals, organizations, and societies to enhance the goals of the Department.
